Monument MicroCap Partners, LLC (“Monument”), a Midwest-based private equity firm, announced today that its portfolio company, Command Investigations LLC (“Command”) completed the recapitalization of Specialized Investigations (“SI”). Based in Simi Valley, CA, Specialized Investigations is a full-service investigative agency with primary territories in California, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Texas, and Idaho. SI has six offices and over 70 operatives strategically located throughout all six states. It also conducts investigations nationwide through an established network of investigation agencies and national information sources.

Their reputation for excellence earned over 40 years in California and other western states gives us greater credibility in the region, and our combined group will only enhance the services and coverage provided to both client bases.”
This collaboration will further expand Command’s coverage area on the west coast and its service offerings, to include a more robust SIU Compliance division, while expanding SI’s reach across the country. With this partnership, Command and SI’s surveillance and remote surveillance programs will expand to over 33 states.

SI represents the third add-on acquisition by Command since its recapitalization by Monument in May 2019. In December 2019, Command recapitalized Investigations By King, LLC, an investigations business located just outside of Pittsburgh PA. In August 2020, Command recapitalized Discovery Surveillance, Inc. with offices in Albuquerque, NM and Richmond, TX.
